Dental Outreach
Uganda Dental Outreach February 2020
Robbie visited Uganda in February 2020 and undertook dental outreach in the northern rural areas of Uganda where access to primary dental care is very limited.
Robbie used the opportunity to distribute among two schools, toothbrushes and toothpastes to the pupils and provided dental education during his visit.
Namibian Dental Outreach 2018
The Namibian Dental Outreach targeted the Bushman population mostly living deep in the Bushmanland of Namibia. Access to dental treatment is very limited for these people, so Dental education was our biggest aim. We targeted the younger generation, and distributed hundreds of toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste among the Bushmen children and demonstrated how to use them! We received generous donations from companies like Henry Schein and Colgate; so many thanks to them as this has changed the dental care for so many underprivileged Bushman children in Namibia.
Zambian Dental Outreach 2017
The Dental Outreach was done in a very remote and rural area of Zambia in the Luangwa Valley. The people living in this area have very limited access to any medical or dental care, and poverty is a big problem.
We carried out basic dental procedures and focused largely on dental education for the young people with teeth cleaning demonstrations, and teaching them what effect diet can have on their teeth.
